For as long as she can remember, Patty has always enjoyed every opportunity to DANCE HER ASS OFF.

Having started dance at age 3, Patty first began acting in middle school, participating in community theater productions of musicals such as THE TAP DANCE KID and PETER PAN.

In high school, she really fell in love with the craft after being encouraged by her freshman English teacher, Bill Buczinsky, to produce a play for a project.  She further cemented this drive in her high school drama program, lead by Richard Zaruba, Patty’s teacher for three years.  “Z,” as all the students called him, challenged Patty with many tough leading roles, and during her senior year even appointed her to direct her classmates in a full-length play.

Such the romantic, Patty REALLY wanted to GO FOR IT after high school and do something totally crazy like move to New York or LA to pursue acting, but felt obligated to attend college out of duty.  For a while, she resented this feeling of obligation and duty, and used it as a scapegoat when confronting her unrealized dreams.  However, after finally moving to LA following college graduation, she realized that it was probably best that she didn’t GO FOR IT at the tender age of 18, otherwise she might have ended up developing a cocaine addiction, selling her soul on a few casting couches, or peaking at 21 with some lame role in a low budget horror film —- boobs out, dignity in shreds.

Instead, she came out to LA with an even bigger drive, but a bigger brain too. And although it took her a period of time to “figure it out,” she eventually signed with a top agency and began booking commercials (Heineken, Intel, Barclay’s, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, more…), an independent film (Passengers), and some tv work as well (Brothers & Sisters).

When things began to slow down due to strikes and a weak economy, Patty decided she wouldn’t sit passively.  Instead she conceived and produced a music video parody of Korean pop princess, BoA’s hit single Eat You Up. The video has received attention from all over the world. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO.

DUDE. You went to Grimsley? That’s wacky.

  3. Hi, Patty,

You can subscribe to the LA column (LA Dancing) and the national column (Dancing)under recreation at Examiner.com. I’ve written about someone called Venetian Princess (three entries) who has done a few YouTube parodies.

I also have a separate column, LA Examiner.com Theater Reviewer. You can subscribe to that as well.

LMK if you make more videos or see cool dance-related or stage related videos and I’ll write about them. Let your friends know as well.
