found this via a friend on AnD (thanks, Unikorn!) and i love it so much i thought i’d share. this band called SOUR got their own network of fans to shoot all the footage via webcam/chat from all over the world. this must have taken so much planning and coordinating…whoever thought of and visualized it before shooting/editing did an amazing job making it come together. so GREAT.
(not to mention the singer/guitarist is kinda adorable and yummy. meow.)
a friend posted this on facebook today. it’s the music video for RJD2‘s song Work It Out featuring Bill Shannon, a NY based artist who learned to dance and “skate” on crutches because he was born with a degenerative hip condition. I have a good friend who also has something like this, and the pain is supposed to be just awful. although there are surgical options (video on Bill’s blog), the results are usually only temporary.
on his site he jokes about not trying this [surgery] at home and finishes with “…and dont try this when you can bear the pain and or limitation of what you were born with.” beautiful.
lately i’ve been living with these grounding words: pain is inevitable. suffering is optional. looks like Bill is on the same page. talk about inspiring. sheesh.
WELL. normally i wouldn’t be the type to shoot a video about myself talking about myself. never. who does that? Ok, that’s a lie, but normally i at least wouldn’t think of making this type of video. i can’t stop imagining all the lonelies out there sending in tapes for The Real World. But i thought — damn — a hosting gig on a travel show (in TAIWAN!) could be exactly what I need to reconnect with my homeland! so i decided to see what would happen if i grabbed the Flip camera and set myself loose in the courtyard unsupervised.
Needless to say, I uncontrollably got wacky on that shizz. Who knows if Discovery folks will get my sense of humor, but I hope at least you do! Please watch it and please rate if you like it! If you don’t like it, let’s pretend it never happened. shhhhhh…
i’m starting to see straight again, so i’ve begun to go through some of the behind the scenes footage i took along the way. there’s a lot of it, so i have some work ahead of me, but i’m going to try to post a new one every few days so keep checking back! there were actually so many moments that didn’t even get captured, but watching what i do have is so wild.
it kinda reminds me of summer camp, when they post up photographs on the last day and you think about the good times you just had and feel so goddamn sentimental and shizz. love it.
in this clip, watch as t-minus helps me record and i learn how to act like a better singer. check back fo moar!
This is so fun you guys….i am just all smiles the last four days. Over 9000 hits in four days??? Considering i started with about 12 youtube subscribers, that is freakin RAD!!! Soooo happy! You guys are all the bomb and thank you so much for all the comments and messages! Let’s go to Din Tai Fung!!!
